Marae Development Coordinator employed
to support Hauraki marae in their projects
and to gain access to funding and other
services.
This dedicated role supports the Hauraki
rohe comprising 25 marae and over 13,000
whānau members.
Marae have the opportunity to build
capacity among whānau, and meet with
funders and organisations that can assist
them to achieve their aims and aspirations.

Te Hauora o Ngāti Hāua
Trust
Project
Community Support Co-ordinator employed
to provide community development support
and build the capacity of Ngāti Hāua
groups.
This dedicated resource is available to work
with the 30 plus Ngāti Hāua community
groups and 5 marae.
The project aims to create active and
sustainable community groups that are
responsive to their members and foster an
environment that inspires growth, safety
and well-being.
We know that communities understand the needs of their
people better than anyone else does; our role is simply to
work in unison and offer some continuity of funding.
Trust Waikato recognises the value in partnering with key organisations where there
is a focus on shared values, principles and goals. This collaborative way of working
enables the Trust to make a positive difference to some of the most pressing issues
facing our communities and the community and voluntary sector.
